We were contracted by Paris 2024 to handle the event branding for all competitor equipment at the Marseille venue for the Summer 2024 Olympic Games.
Our scope of work included branding over 250 Dinghies/Boards and sails, along with support ribs, start and finish boats.
Our project manager worked closely with Paris 2024 and the International Federation, World Sailing, to ensure every aspect of the event branding was considered from the design stage – from the placement of graphics on equipment to the thickness and durability of materials. The goal was to maintain sport performance while delivering a powerful on-field look for TV. The challenge lay in executing the branding on-site efficiently within a tight timeframe, working in parallel with other technical teams.
To guarantee the highest quality and durability, we conducted extensive testing of various medias on the hulls and sails. Our objective was not only to ensure no failures on-site but also to meet the sustainability goals set for the event, which we shared with World Sailing. They supported us throughout the research and testing phase. We explored and tested PVC-free films, recyclable films, and developed custom-made products that aligned with a recognised recycling scheme. This enabled us to use recyclable materials for 68% of the total branding, and we successfully recycled 70% of all production waste.

The project involved the printing and application of over 3,000 meters of branding material in preparation for the games. Our team created over 2,000 individual artwork files. The in-house production team dedicated six weeks to the precise printing and finishing of all graphics. Following this, a team of 11 skilled installers worked tirelessly over 22 consecutive days in Marseille, adhering to a strict schedule coordinated with class measurers to ensure that all equipment met the highest branding standards. The end result was a meticulously branded venue, fully dressed for the world’s biggest broadcasters and audiences.
